WM Bitcoin Meetup: East Longmeadow
Meetup #42 covered a broad range of topics. We started with Bitcoin Obituaries — the long and growing list of times Bitcoin has been declared dead — then looked back at the 2013 Cyprus bank bail-in as an early real-world case for Bitcoin self-custody. We discussed BIP110, the latest Bitcoin news, explored ways to earn yield on Lightning, and wrapped up with concrete examples of how Bitcoin fixes problems in everyday people's lives.
The first 30 minutes were for socializing over pizza and drinks before the main discussion.
About Us
The Western Mass Bitcoin Meetup is on a mission to find and connect bitcoiners in the area and has been growing quickly. We are interested in spreading education, increasing local merchant adoption and hanging out with bitcoiners. We meet once a month and all are welcome to come and talk bitcoin.
