WM Bitcoin Meetup: East Longmeadow
Meetup #41 opened with a close reading of Bitcoin's Genesis block and the message Satoshi embedded in it — a reminder of why Bitcoin was created. We broke down how inflation mechanics erode purchasing power over time, covered the latest Bitcoin news, and explored methods for verifying physical gold. We also got a live Datum mining pool demo and closed with a discussion on how Bitcoin can counter economic colonialism in the developing world.
The first 30 minutes were for socializing over pizza and drinks before the main discussion.
About Us
The Western Mass Bitcoin Meetup is on a mission to find and connect bitcoiners in the area and has been growing quickly. We are interested in spreading education, increasing local merchant adoption and hanging out with bitcoiners. We meet once a month and all are welcome to come and talk bitcoin.
